I got two.
But, like, on purpose, man…
That went better than last time; I got 6. Number 1 was a complete guess and turned out it was right.
Missed out on 3 and 4. Having seen the answers I would never have gotten them.
#4 had a terribly misguiding error in the clue, that I just fixed.
Let’s give everyone a pass on that one.
The misdirection had no effect on me. I’d have been clueless regardless.
I got #3, but I live in Tennessee. Not in Memphis, but I have been there often enough to have been on Elvis Presley Boulevard. Never been inside Graceland, though.
I appreciate everybody participating. And speaking seriously, I welcome constructive criticism on this bit.
Please tell me if these are too obscure, too hard, or if you think there should be more “blind item clues“ provided., etc.
As is, my friend. Carry on.
Yep. You’ve hit the Goldilocks zone.
That’s why we call him Baby Bear.
Most of us here are music geeks so if we got them all right it would be too easy. And if we got none, it would be too hard. Looks like it’s just right.
As above, feels just right to me.
5 out of 8. Again.
This was such a great gag in Peanuts. There are several strips revolving around 5. Like where Snoopy wonders, “Did he say 5 or V?”
5 out of 8. I thought Simple Minds was Irish so I didn’t even consider them, but all I could come up with was Big Country.
I struck out on that one too. Primal Scream came to mind, but I knew that wasn’t right.
5 out of 8. I should have gotten #1, darnit. And #7! ugh…
I was never going to get #5, though. There were way too many bands that sprung out of that era.
4 out of 8. Better than last time, for whatever it’s worth.
I got six right, missing #1 and #5
5/8 (though I groaned when I missed the Manilow one – I totally knew that)
Better this time: 6 out of 8 (and it would have been 7 if I had properly read item 7 instead of somehow thinking “1981”). I like this feature!
